With summer here it’s time to break out those classic floral pieces, which is exactly what today’s post is all about! Today, Kalina and I headed to our local greenhouse to take in some of the season’s aesthetic, and to browse some of the most beautiful blooms.
This featured dress, from Chic Wish, is the perfect garment to battle those warm; yet windy, days. With a length that’s wind friendly (because as cute as Marilyn might have been, it’s not necessarily the most appropriate look), and sleeves that are stunningly (wind) friendly, you can’t really do wrong. I chose to pair this navy floral dress with some off-white pumps from Kelsi Dagger, the most minimalistic bag from Be Samara, and jewelry from GLDN; creating a monochromatic floral approach to the season’s most iconic trend. Keep scrolling for the all the deeeets!
Is this envelope clutch not the perfect accessory to this look? I love how simply it pairs with the dress, it’s like they were made to best friends (yenno, under the assumption that garments have besties). This hand crafted wrap choker from GLDN is one of my staple pieces this season. I practically wear it on a daily basis because it pretty much complements my entire summer wardrobe selection. I had this particular piece customized with a printed “Q” on the circle, and the ring I’m wearing from GLDN is also customized with “M ❤ Q”. I am obsessed with all of their stunning pieces, they honestly have something for everyone.
So recently I’ve been working and learning (A LOT) from one of my favourite people, Kalina from Kalina Denault Photography (she’s also the one who shot today’s look for you all). I’ve been on a mission to start creating my own content for both my blog and Instagram… which has so far been a very fun, yet very challenging process. I am so extremely grateful for all of the talented photographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with this past year and a half of blogging, and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be near where I am today without their support. However, as I am wanting to pursue blogging full-time one day, I felt it necessary to create my own brand in which my followers could resonate. Thus, needing the knowledge to do so. This is where Kalina comes in, not only has she helped Mitch and I to purchase our very first DSLR camera, but she’s also taught us so much about the wonderful world of photography- everything from angles to editing. She’s the bomb.com, so make sure to check her amazing work out here!
Anywaysss, I hope you all enjoyed today’s summery and floral vibes. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more posts soon to come!
